inorganic pigments from the elements into optical geometries that endure
origin
While pursuing other work (opens in new tab), I experimented with interesting chemistries to make use of equipment downtime, excess reagents, and for fun. elemental color emerged from these experiments.
philosophy
elemental color forges pigments under the same processes employed in aerospace, semiconductor manufacturing, and optics. Reagents are sourced from the same suppliers and at the same standards as those used in optoelectric materials development. And all pigments are subject to an ongoing stress, failure, and boundary test regime published openly. There are no grades, dyes, or contingencies--color is real or it isn't.
